Palhetim e Robertiços
the gate opens to let the little ones take to the stageM.6 . 02h00Dom Roberto’s theatre has always been all about rhythm, laughter and boundless energy, but what happens when this boisterous world is scaled down to the size of a child’s hand? It’s time to jump out of the audience and take control of the show! In this workshop, the little ones step behind the scenes to create their own ‘Robertos’ and learn the secrets of the trade. Amidst expressive heads, colourful gloves and plenty of excitement, each child brings to life a restless, boisterous character, ready to make a racket, play pranks and create, with their little hand, a grand stage steeped in tradition.

Puppets, while often associated with childhood, are deeply woven into our collective imagination, history, and tradition. This art form offers an inexhaustible wealth of theatrical experiences, constantly renewing itself through innovative creation and manipulation on the modern stage. It is essential for educators to equip themselves with the specialized knowledge needed to facilitate these experiences. By exploring diverse materials and construction techniques, teachers can provide students with the tools to develop original creative work, transforming the classroom into a laboratory for theatrical discovery and artistic expression.
