March begins with a shelter

A word that has gained such importance in the context of the months we are going through, but nature knows how to regenerate itself. Between order and chaos, a step towards reacting to a welcoming time. NINHOabrigo is an activity carried out with the community to think about the place where birds live, bird men, people who believe in the power of flight.
This activity will result in the implementation of a community art installation at the Camilo de Oliveira Municipal Library in Gondomar, scheduled to open on March 21, as part of the “Vestir a Primavera” project.
We will be in Ílhavo with various shows for babies, children, and seniors, for three days of intense cultural activity.
In the first days of the month, our exhibition will open in Palmela, in Águas de Moura, and thus the “Palco das Marionetas” fulfills its function of bringing to life a set of sculptures and objects that we call puppets. Creating through images the feeling of a story, of a story that has already been lived.
We have worked hard on a project that is now coming to an end, with intensive training in cultural mediation that uses puppets as a means of dialogue with the public, in homage to the popular poet Joaquim Moreira da Silva, and we are now presenting the project “o homem que lavra a palavra” (the man who plows the word).
We are going to Sintra to meet our traveling companions in the art of animated forms and present the creation “à flor da pele”, a creation inspired by the pictorial universe of the artist(s) Julio / Saúl Dias.
We are closing the month with our typical Puppet Educational House, with the proposal of paper puppets, “Caixa das Histórias Ensarilhadas” (Box of Tangled Stories).
We are finalizing the Festival that is fast approaching, Mar~Marionetas — Espinho International Puppet Festival, and we are rehearsing intensively so that on May 15th the premiere of the creation “A Oliveira Milenar” (The Ancient Olive Tree) will take place in the context of the Festival.
