autumn is upon us; puppetry as an art of dialogue

During the present month, we will be concluding the creation of the project “a menina do barro”, following the invitation from the Museu de Arqueologia D. Diogo de Sousa, in Braga. Work that has been developing over several months and will be open to the public during the first days of December.
We will also be at the final session of the community project about craftswomen and the valorization of local heritage, “Bonecas de Constância”, presenting the project in Entroncamento for the school community.
We will have the PREMIERE, in Gondomar, of the co-creation show between “Krisálida” and “Teatro e Marionetas de Mandrágora” titled “a água que por mim passa”. The show will be staged at the Auditório Municipal de Gondomar and is entirely dedicated to babies and their companions.
From November 7th until the beginning of next year, the exhibition “Palco das Marionetas” will also be open to the public at Casa Branca de Gramido, in Gondomar. This exhibition offers an insight into the company's nearly 25 years, displaying some of the fundamental objects in the artistic creation history of Teatro e Marionetas de Mandrágora.
The tour is further marked by the presentation of the creation “O pescador d'Ouro” at the Cine Teatro Avenida, in Castelo Branco, as well as the educational service project “História de um Gato e de um Rato que se Tornaram Amigos”, an activity inspired by the text by Luis Sepúlveda that will be on display at the Museu da Marioneta in Lisbon.
On the last Saturday of the month, we will have the workshop from Casa Educativa da Marioneta, aimed at a family audience (children and adults).
We end the month with “A menina que pintava pássaros” at Fórum da Maia, integrated into the Festival de Contos da Maia.
